classioldsmobile.com car show ...
I am going to try to run a car show here on line...
I have never done this and I would would like your input ...
First off is classes ...
I like the idea of driven and non driven . Does anyone know the term for a driven car? Should it have to go a couple thousand miles a year ...
I also like the "Under Construction". I showed my car like that and got excellent crowd participation ...
Should there be a seperate w class ..?
Being an a-body guy I would have a break at 1961 ...

I like the "Daily Driver" verses "Non-Daily Driver" Category. You may want to also consider:
1. Cars 1975 and before
2. Trucks 1975 and Before
3. Cars 1976 to 2010
4. Trucks 1976 to 2010
I also like that special category you spoke of with "Cars in Progress".
There may also be several car expected of the same type, such as Corvettes, other Chevys, Mustangs and VWs and/or Foreign Cars. These could also have their own areas of the show. (Although I would have liked to include Olds in this category, they simply are not that many as the others mentioned (IMO).
But I do like better when the cars all mixed up by make, per 1-4 above. I start missing too many things when the same cars are sitting together
Hope this helps,
Dan
PS: I just saw that this is a ClassicOldsmobile.Com Show. If this is correct, then you may want to have a separate Olds section - mixed, all models or separe per years shown in 1 and 3 above.
Also if there is a prize for best car(s), I think trophy or plaque or certificate is appropriate with a cash nominal prize, e.g., 1st Place=$150, 2nd Place=$100, 3rd Place=$50 (if this is appropriate and you can get a sponsor - look for a parking lot with a McDonalds and see if they will sponsor you, provide the money for the prizes and the music/DJ/loud speakers for the show). Let it be a People's Choice" show, where visitors can do the voting (they'll look more carefully to all the hard work out there)!

CO Car Show
So just to be clear, are you talking about an on-line car show here on THIS site ? Seems to be some confusion as to the where, who.what? Just leave a little bit of room for the few non-69 cars!! Derek 69 442
