Chrome Polish Samples at 2013 Nationals

This is a question for anyone who went to the 2013 Nationals in Springfield. In the welcome kit they had some samples of chrome polish. I was hoping someone would remember what kind it was. It was blue. I used it and it worked better than any I have used before.

Hey Peter, I found 4 packets, 3 of which are blue...Turtle Wax 'Ice' car wash, Turtle Wax Liquid Wax, Blue Magic Headlight restorer. The other was Meguiar's Ultimate Compound in black pouch. There may have been another...if I find, will post.
Regards, Brett

I wasn't at the nationals but I have to give you My input lol. I used to work at a wheel repair shop. I was the welder there and would TIG weld rims back together that were cracked and restraighten them, I also was the main painter there as well. Anyhow, it was common for wheels to come in that were polished aluminum from dealerships, people scrape them on test drives or what have you and bam, we fixed it. I wont use any other product than Blue Magic metal polish. It works for ANY kind of metal and its awesome stuff. I would put wheels on a big lathe and use a file to file the curb marks out, then i would follow up with 320 grit, wet sand them with 600, then 1000 grit and 1500 and then polish on the lathe with blue magic, and you couldnt even tell the wheels had been damaged. Anyway so I dont bore you to death, give Blue Magic a try and hopefully you'll be as pleased as I was! you can get it at O'Reilly Auto Parts too.

I swear by Blue Magic. When used correctly nothing beats it. A small jar lasts a long time, and it works on brass, aluminum, chrome, etc. Just last weekend I used it to bring junk yard hubcaps back to looking new in one hour.

With endorsements like these how can I not try the stuff. It may have been what was in the welcome kit last year. I know that stuff was very easy to use, even in the sun.

Another excellent polish is SemiChrome. It is sold in jeweler supply shops and from Eastwood too. I have used it for years on chrome, brass, gold, nickel, or any plastic you need to bring to a high shine. Works great on tail light lens that have clouded.

X2 for Simichrome, expensive, hard to find, but it's the best! Much better than Blue Magic but 5 times harder to find. Amazon + some MC shops have it.
