We leave on the 21st, under our Nagavator's guidance (Juju) for our first night's stay in Joplin, MO. Next day on to Hannibal, MO, to arrive Monday afternoon. We'll stay there for two nights, do the Mark Twain/Tom Sawyer/Huck Finn tours, and Tuesday evening a paddlewheel boat/dinner ride. We will leave Wednesday AM for Springfield, arriving around 2 PM at the Host Hotel for the Nationals. Juju is doing the Frank Lloyd Wright house tour, along with Abe Lincoln home tour. We will attend the Thursday evening Welcoming Party, and the Saturday evening Awards banquet area for BOC awards - not looking for that honor with the Silver Bullet, which we will be driving up and back in A/C comfort - Yeaaaaa! I plan on spending time detailing her as well as I can, and also attending the BOD meeting Thursday, being with the SB for judging Friday, and the General Membership meeting Saturday. Anyone from elsewhere on our wonderful CO going to make the show? Hope to meet/greet/maybe bend an elbow with each and all of you there.

I am very sorry to say that I'm not going to make it. I start Monday for 20 days of hyperbaric oxygen therapy. They gave me the option to take the days needed for the trip but I wouldn't get the full effect because of the interruption. My health is more important than the trip,so I'm sitting it out. Everybody have fun and I wish things were different.

Mike found a new doctor who has a great reputation and in whom he has full confidence. If Mike were really in the klan he wouldn't have picked him. . .all that stuff is just a joke that he has not bothered to refute.

I had a great time at the nationals in Springfield. Lots of great Oldsmobiles and I made a few new friends. I made the mistake of attending the general membership meeting and got an earfull of the politics. What a bunch of crap. I thought my head was going to explode but saved myself by leaving the meeting early to get back out to the show field for instant relief. I recently joined the OCA for fun but I'm going to stay away from the politics!

 

Aron, It was nice meeting you and seeing the silver bullet. I wanted to talk to you more but had to leave on the tour that JuJu went on. I assume you are still on the return trip as I am writing this. It sure was a great time, Greg.
