Choke

I have searched past threads but they are a couple years old. Anyone have an opinion on what Brand Electric Choke conversion kit would be best for my 1976 Cutlass 350? I think Jet has a kit. Others? They seem to be under $50. so it's reasonable, in my opinion. I already have the wire there for my Holley.
Thanks
Tom

What carb do you have? If you have the original Qjet, you don't need a kit. You just need an electric choke coil to replace the hot air coil currently in your carb. I use Standard Motor Products CV362, about $25 at RockAuto. You can get the special choke connector pigtail also if you want.

I have been running one of those for years, from a chebby carb. I just bent a regular connector to fit. You just have to remove the gasket and maybe put a dab of sealant in the hole, in the choke coil housing.

If you already have a flat wire connector, I have the electric element. If you have L shape, I have those also.

Just remove the gasket so the element can ground to the housing and block the hot air vacuum source.
