Any of you guys have a 07 and newer GM truck/Tahoe/Avalanche/Suburban etc. with a cracked dash? My 08 Silverado has 3 cracks in it and after some research,it seems that a lot of them have this problem. I had a windshield installed and the installer told me that they have to inspect every 07 and newer truck for cracks before they can start. He said he did a 12 Tahoe that had a cracked dash and the owner didn't know it. I carried it to the dealer where I bought it and they have some kind of formula they use for replacement and they wanted $550 my part. I asked them if they had improved the dashes so it wouldn't crack again and the answer was a big no. I found a dash cap on eBay for $200 that's supposed to be real nice and tight and I ordered it. Just checking to see if anybody here has had the same problem. If you don't have anything to do,Google GM truck cracked dash and it will keep you busy for days.
