Carb rebuild kit

Does anyone know of anyone who sells carb rebuilding kits that are compatible to modern day fuel?

Lot's of shops around the country can put an above average kit together for you. I used Cliff's High Performance in Ohio. A little more than parts store kits but he has a great reputation. Yes, I have purchased from him and I am a happy customer; also had a CCC carb rebuilt by him for a stock application. Couldn't be happier.

X2 with Cliff. Or send him the whole carb. There is a few tweaks internally suggested for todays gas above and beyond just the pump cup & float materials. If you are a staunch DIY'er call him for this info when you order the kit. Have any engine trans & gearing upgrade info if it applies.

I just bought the kit from Cliff as well. Great guy to deal with. I probably paid a little more but a lot of advice came with the kit as well as the invitation to call if I had any other questions. I bought his book used off ebay for $3.99 delivered too (not from him).

I just bought a NAPA kit last month, and it had the blue-colored accel. pump skirt that usually means it's compatible with alcohol fuels.

NAPA will get you about $30 for a kit and a float, Cliff about $40 plus shipping, but Cliff can definitely give you good guidance and specialized parts if that's what you need, and that's worth a few extra bucks.

I bought a kit for the 54 from Fusick and it had a sticker on it that it was ethanol safe.

If I was in the market for a carb rebuild kit (and I was a few years back) Iwould go with Daytona Parts Co. (which I did). They have what you want/need.

I didn't know you had to worry about ethanol compatability when rebuiding a carburetor. I would think all of the kits you bought at the auto parts store would have ethanol safe parts in them as Eric said. Last time I rebuilt a Qjet I bought one at the local parts store and it worked fine.

Yep, the NAPA kits have had the blue pump cup for several years now. I haven't had any issues with the kit and running 10% ethanol fuel for many years.
