I posted an ad on Kijiji Alberta looking for a 1966-70 Olds Toronado, thinking I had owned a 1977 and 78 Toro 20 years ago and liked them, so maybe a more vintage version would be interesting to own today.
Locally I received over 7 car responses from rust buckets to very low mileage originals. I removed the ad last week, as I have decided to go a different direction.
The ad was up for 4 days only.
Today I received this email from a guy named Bill Johansson offering what looks like a nice 1970 Toro GT. After doing my usual Google research I came up with this information and thought I should pass it along to others.
Seems he lives down under (NZ) but trys to get overseas people to buy cars from him in US dollars.
This is a running California car that's survived extra well, a genuine 400HP GT that seems to have every possible option, cruise control, 8 track player, rear window defroster, even the button on the end of the column gearshift lever for a single sweep of the windshield wipers. To be REALLY clean, it needs paint and maybe the factory vinyl top replacing, and some detailing under the hood, it hasn't been cleaned in years. I would sell the car as it sits right now for U$S8500, or could have it repainted and any other restoration work done in my shop. It would then look just like the example in the last photo.

I saw this one here on Vancouver Island a few days after Christmas. Talked to the shop owner about it, he said it would probably be for sale around $5k. I didn't ask about condition or anything else.
You should be able to reach him at the number on the sign, and I would be willing to go have a closer look at it for you (it's about a 40 minute drive from my place).
Thanks to everyone that's offered up other Toronados for sale, but I removed my ad because I no longer need a Toro.
Some nice Toros out there for the right person...just not for me anymore.
Cheers
