Can't fix stupid...

... I've been watching this car being listed on AutoTrader Classics for over 3 years now. The pics say 2009/06 so it's been quite a while since this car has been sitting in the weather just getting rotted out (even though it's AZ weather). A few months ago I sent an email and said "I'll go pick it up for $500" and the answer was "I can get that for one of the panels, no thanks".

I wonder how much of this car is still left...

He's out of his "bleepin' " mind!

If he parts it out then he MIGHT see that money...over the next 50 years, but not as a whole car.....in that condition.

Ha! I guess he wants to keep it.

There are better cars that you can get cheaper.

It's a wrecking yard, it is worth more than you offered in parts.

The root of the problem is these car makeover shows. If I'm not mistaken DVAP is featured occasionally in one of those shows. Now all of those parts on all of those cars have celebrity status....

You should have replied - which panel - the one with $450 taped to it?

The show is called Desert Car Kings. I've watched it a few times. I'd like to see what the unwitting owners think of their purchases a couple months after the auction. It looks like they do a hack job on most of the cars they "restore."

There was a thread on here within the past year about a guy who had given his car to them to "restore."

Bad idea.
