Caliper dust seal tool...

I’m looking for a Kent Moore J-22904 caliper dust seal tool. Anyone have one for sale or rent?

Not Kent Moore but I've used this KD/Lisle brand seal driver with good success on the caliper dust seals....this shows the largest "cup" in the kit (comes with multiple interchangeable cups) installed on the driver handle.

May be a lower cost option and easier to find....I bought it at a local auto parts store.

I wish I knew that. I checked the handle and all the "cups" and no numbers on any of it. Maybe you can find it on the 'net....KD/Lisle Seal Installation Tool or something similar. It comes with 4-6 different sized cups. I probably bought this about 10 years ago.

EDIT: You might look for Lisle 24800 Seal Driver....seems to have a lot more cups with that kit. The "cups" on the 24800, however, aren't really "cups"...they are discs with machined steps in them.

The tool I have has stamped steel cups....so the underside is hollow other than the outer perimeter which contacts the face of the seal.

The OD on the largest cup (shown installed on the handle in the pic I posted) is 3-11/32"

That sucks on the seals. No, I won't sell it since I haven't found anything currently available that is the same thing (in case I needed a replacement).

Someone on this site is bound to have used one of the other "seal installation tools" found on the internet and can report their results.

ANYONE ELSE???? NOBODY ON HERE THAT HAS REBUILT THEIR CALIPERS?????

EXCELLENT THINKING McGuyver!!! Love it when someone finds another tool that can be used for a different-from-intended purpose.
