On another members car with NA9 equipment happens to be W-31automatic also check out the colored clips to the end of hoses

This is determined by the reach of the tangs under the cap versus the filler neck installed on your car. There were short-reach and long-reach filler necks on NA9 cars in 1970. The standard (non-NA9) 1970 vented cap interchanges on the short reach NA9 filler necks. The short-reach vented cap is not reproduced and your picture is not that type.
The long-reach NA9 filler neck takes the non-vented cap reproduced and sold to fit 1971-72. Your picture may be that type.
Compare a side-view of your existing cap with a side-view of the cap in your picture. Any difference in reach will be obvious.

Mikey, you may be misinterpreting my comment. If you have a cap that fits on your tank neck, be it NA9 or vented cap, that's the one you would use to compare reach.
Your picture shows a short-reach cap. If your current cap is short reach, the pictured one would interchange.
That may or may not be visually the same style your car was born with (January cars had a different cap) but virtually no one will know the difference.

Bob, I recall that Figure from the CSM but it never made sense to me because my 1970 442 (delivered in MN) had the cap pictured on the right, marked "pressure vacuum". My 1970 car delivered in California had a cap marked "not vented." I had assumed the captions on the two right caps were switched in the CSM.
I am open to alternate interpretations.

So the cap this guy is trying to sell me is the middle one in Bobs CSM manual - which would be incorrect as to the one that my car was born with. My car is missing it’s gas cap and I will not have access to the gas tank/filler tube for a few weeks. My car is a ‘70 and it is an 11D car. It was definitely equipped as an NA9 car. And the California emissions standards were not in place until January 1st. It’s going to be interesting to see what filler neck is on my car and what gas cap will work. Who would have known that a simple thing like a gas cap could end up being a Holy Grail piece ? I guess I will have to work with a few gas caps and see which one works. No sense in spending the money on a NOS cap that is not correct for my car.
My car is apparently a very early NA9 car. Is it possible that it was born with something totally different as far as a filler tube and gas cap ? Did they have non-vented gas caps on ‘69 models ? Being an early NA9 car - is it possible that a leftover part from a ‘69 model could have been used on my car ?
Thank you Bob and Gary. Merry Christmas to all you guys and your Families.

I think I still have all the smog equipment that I removed from my 70 Cutlass S. Would it be same as what OP is looking for?
I have charcoal canister, vapor separator and maybe even the elbow for the air cleaner.
