Is it an original export car or was it later imported to South America?

I know the import laws are quite different depending on the countries - for example, it seems that Peru has a lot more old American iron than, let's say, Argentina.

I do not know. The cars was purchased brand new by a chilean man in 1970. I never knew him because he died in 1971 and the car was purchased by friend`s uncle. He sold the car to my friend and this year, my friend sold it to me. I do not know if he imported directly from USA, I supose that It was, because in those years, the were many comercial restrictions in Chile. Many american or european cars were imported using diplomat license

So the speedometer is in kilometers?

But I understand - you probably had to be someone of a certain political stature to buy a car like that during the Pinochet years, which makes your car extra-special.

I assume it has a 350? 2- or 4-barrel?

Yes, it is in kilometers: maximum speed 200 km/hr
But, this car arrives to Chile on the Allende`s years, 3 years before Pinochet took the government
In those years, was more dificult to buy imported cars in Chile. Allende´s government was mainly focussed in local production for replace the import goods

It is a 350, 4 bbl. I need to replace it´s old quadrajet for a new carburetor. Any recomendation?
