A/C compressor

Anyone using or know anything about the newer aluminum compressors designed to replace the A6. I think its a 10 piston design?
I need a compressor, just trying to find out which would be the best choice
Thanks
Steve

If you are not concerned about keeping the car original, the aluminum Sanden compressor is the way to go. I am sure somebody makes a conversion kit for it.

Going with the Sanden means you wont be able to use your factory brackets or hoses. The aluminum A6 replacement compressors are a bolt-in deal. Here are a couple of under hood kits I put together( one for a 70 Cutlass and the other for 67-72 gm truck) and a pic of one I installed in 70 c10

I'm running one in both my cars (71 442 and 70 Cutlass Supreme). Very happy with them, much lighter than stock and looks original. Here's all the details and a pic for my 442: AC: Factory appearing – AC box redone for more VC clearance, Compressor (Old Air Products)
- A6 Pro6ten hiperformance 21 lbs lighter than stock (15lbs vs 36). Condensor – parallel flow 6mm
condenser {part #11-803P $280} w/6 rectangular tubes (like all new cars) vs. one round tube (stock)
from Classic auto air for 134 conversion Ron from CAA {866 294 9934 or 877 342 5526 x7022}
Receiver/Dryer # 12-202S $49, Hoses #13801 $349, POA valve – new w/core or rebuild current one
$100 to rebuild or $190 for new (w/$75 core refund), must use 42-48 oz of R134

Some good close ups of the compressor and the complete setup around 1:45 in this video:
