Buying and selling cylinder heads

Due to recent events I will now have a new policy on selling cylinder heads. I highly recommend others do the same as this.

When I sell a set (or a single) of cylinder heads they will be magnafluxed and I will provide a receipt as to the fact that they were checked. When the buyer receives them, the buyer is to ALSO have them Magnafluxed and provide me a receipt that they checked good within 10 days of being dropped off by the shipper. If I do not get proof within 10 days they are your heads. You may want to check with your shop before I ship them to be sure they can do it in this amount of time. If they say that the heads are cracked a claim with the shipper will be placed.

All parts over $500 will ONLY be shipped to the purchaser.

Sorry for having to make this post but I think others should seriously consider this same thing.

one head looks like another too

a wise seller will put a very small discreet mark on such parts, so that if "a" cracked one turns up later, it can be discerned if it is the EXACT same part that YOU sold. Casting date should also be recorded.

I check such parts before putting any work into them, get the paperwork, and that's it. After it leaves my hands, it's not my problem.

X2. I have always done this on rare parts.
