Build Sheet?

I pulled the carpet out of the Rallye in hopes of finding the build sheet without any luck. I did find some pin holes rusted through the front passenger side floor . Anyway.
I have replaced the gas tank and the build sheet was not under the tank mat either. Also looked under and behind the back seat.
This car has been in the family since 76 and the original owner was a friend of the family so I know all the history of the car. The carpet has never been out of it and its never had any major repairs. Where else would it be?

Other places I've heard/seen is under the console, inside the back of the bucket seat behind the plastic seatback, under the package tray (look from inside the trunk), behind the door panel. Then most recently I found one tucked between the fender and inner fender liner. There have been comments that Lansing seemed to have thrown them out rather than leave them in the car. So if yours happens to have been built in Lansing you may be out of luck. John

Remember, build sheets are very hit or miss - there just might not be one.

Quite likely the build sheet went in the trash when the car was built.
