Build Sheet

I have a W-30 1970 with a lot of documentation to it, such as receipt when bought new first time from dealer (in Sweden). But I miss the build sheet. I have searched the whole car, except under the dashboard.

Is there any archive left, where You can see the car specification with the help of the VIN?

Thanks,
Peter

Have you looked on top of the gas tank? Not all cars had the sheet left in them.

A '70 W30 sold new in Sweden! Quite interesting!! I'd love to see the paperwork you have, as I'm sure it is unique.

Being that your car was a Lansing built car, it is virtually a certainty that your car never contained a build sheet. Lansing plant pitched them in cars of that vintage.
What it *may* contain is the Fisher Body broadcast card. May be in other locations, but as far as I know, they have not been found outside of the seats/seatbacks in Lansing cars.

There is an outside chance that GM Canada may have the records for your car. The data they have is for any GM built and/or sold new in Canada. But the data *may* actually be for *all* exports. An interesting possibility...............

most likely you will not find it, the invoice is one step ahead of many folks with a W30! Scan that puppy in and post it, would be cool to see an invoice from outside the States.

From what I have been told by GM Canada they only have the records for vehicles built or sold within Canada.

I know that. But without knowing what the database *really* is, it *could* be all export as that would include Canada, and would be comprised mostly *of* Canadian vehicles.
Gotta think outside the box!
