Hi Jim, I looked at your ad yesterday. It Really got me thinking, where can you get that much car with only 25000 miles for 17500? I'll bet it's no rust being from SC. I am not in the market but I think it is one hell of a deal! Have you checked out the Hemmings online auto auctions? This time of the year is a bad time to sell to northern guys though...

Just for haha’s I went to NADA.com and punched in ‘10 Charger R/T non AWD and 25,000 miles. Comes up clean retail $10,000. Even if you add a few grand just because you’re still asking extremely strong money. Are these things sought after?

I can certainly understand your logic, but anyone who has the technical capacity to be on this site would do what you have done. The price is the owners prerogative. It may not sell for the asking price, but that is what they feel it is worth. Many times the go-to online authorities get it very wrong. Unless you have a genuine interest, it might be better to keep your comments to yourself. To the owner GLWTS

Yes, you got out of line, and need to be punished. (sarcasm) You effectively gave an opinion (which was asked for by the OP, btw) and then got T-boned by a wannabe nanny of the forum. To which, they gave absolutely no opinion that was subject-related other than admonish your post for actually doing the work and saving other people who may NOT happen to have the skills needed to check on pricing.

RTF posts. The OP asked for opinions. Probably missed that part of "tell me what you think".

Which would lead me to conclude why even have a forum to begin with if everyone should already be assumed to have the technical ability to do all the things that revolve around our cars.

Maybe it's the Covid, but some of y'all need to step down off your high horses and let people voice their opinion without the vapid peanut gallery comments basically telling them their opinions don't matter. It wasn't like he was breaking posting rules and needed the reminder. Got a problem with a post? Use the REPORT POST feature. C'mon, man!

As far as similar cars in that LX platform, I love my Magnum R/T that I've had for 3+ years. Ex-Fayette County, Georgia sheriff's department car with no rust and just a fun driver/hauler. The really nice survivors still bring relatively strong money since most were beaten on, poorly modded, or rusted away. A low mile Magnum SRT just brought over $50k at an auction a couple weeks ago. You should be able to do okay with a super-clean low mileage Charger R/T since they just aren't out there for the most part, and somebody's nostalgia will require them to buy it instead of fixing up a pile. Good luck!

So is it just me? Why isn't this thread in the cars for sale section?

The ad itself is in the Cars For Sale section. I've wasted my time reading hundreds of threads that aren't even about cars in this General Discussion section over the past decade or so, so I personally take no offense to this conversation being here...

Morning guys and dolls the sun is out, hooray....
Has anyone been to or dealt with GAA Classic Cars Located at 301 Norwalk Street in Greensboro, North Carolina. The Automobile auction house of the classic car world. I was on the phone with them. It's a three day auction starting on Thursday running Friday and Saturday. 250.00 non refundable block fee with 8 % on completion of sale. They set the price to start the auction. I can set a reserve with the option to lift it at any time. Chances are my Charger will hit the block on Thursday with the hi-dollar ones on Saturday. After your auction and let’s say it didn't sell, I have the option to leave it there till Saturday night where it will be displayed with others. GAA will accept offers staying in contact with me by phone.
