Bought My First Car 1964 Oldsmobile F-85 Deluxe

1964 Oldsmobile F-85 Deluxe All Original. I am only 15 so i can not drive it yet but I will be able to in the Spring. It is all original with 28,000 miles on it. I got a good price on the car. All it needs is new tires and It is ready to go. It is a four door. What do you guys think? Sincerely, Kevin.

That is a nice one, Try to take it easy on her when you start driving it. Because it is a old car even though it looks new. I know lots of time a very nice older car that the older seller says is well maintained and should go for many miles is sold to a new young driver and soon it seems like it wasn't such a good car; as in it is needing lots of repairs, etc. It turns out that the new young driver drives it completely different that the previous owner... I know, I was one of those guys. I had a 65 Cutlass for a 1st car- same color as yours. Great car thanks for sharing with us. Keep us posted.

Very nice! Welcome to CO!

If you don't have your permit yet; for the next year, you can sit behind the wheel and make engine noises while bouncing up and down in the seat and pretending to turn the wheel.

I agree with Greg, don't succumb to peer pressure and beat the car...be gentle and you'll get lots of miles out of her!

Wow! Looks to be in great shape! Excellent choice. I concur with the others - it'll last forever if you take it easy. That interior is sooo clean - no eating in the car!

That is an awesome 1st car!! Looks to be in great shape. Take good care of it and it will take care of you. Best of luck with it!

You could probably fit a human being on either side of that motor and close the hood (No, I'm not recommending you try, just an observation ).

Welcome, that is a beautiful 1st ride. I got my first old car too when I was 15, a 63 Riviera. Still have it today.

Kevin, that is a gorgeous little Town Sedan. Tires for the F85 should be easier to find than they are for the 64 full-size Oldsmobiles, but you may not be able to get them in a big-name brand like Goodyear or Goodrich. Just try to stick with North American-made tires if you can.

42,237 1964 F85 Deluxe 4-door sedans were built in 1964 making them the most popular F85 model.

You really wanna make that car stand out? Find a set of correct 1964 Olds factory wire wheel covers. They will make these four-doors soar appearance-wise.

With a car like that, look into the AACA www.aaca.org . Also visit www.fusick.com as they have a lot of detail parts for these cars- including correct molded radiator hoses!

Like others have said, take very good care of that baby. She is sure sweet.
It is a very old car and I'm sure the PO took very good care. I bet it spent it's whole life in the garage.
It is your car, just be nice and take good care.
