A body Heater core replacement
Hello,
Tonight I took the heater core out of my 1970 cutlass. It has been bypassed for years and I decided it was time to make it right. Someone has been in there before and was not very kind to the firewall. It looks like they could not get the box back in so they used tin snips to cut the firewall away to give more room. Question #1- Is it usually hard to get the heater box back up and studs thru the fire wall. Question #2- Is this black sticky stuff sealing the core in ,window butyl? Question #3- is there a trick or tip to getting it all back together?
Thanks for your help.
