Big Block Olds In Cheby A Body

I have found a Cutlass front cap for my 67 El Camino. I want to put a built 468 Olds I have in the shop in it. I see that the battery will have to be moved and the starter wiring extended to the other side. Is there other differences that anyone can tell me in advance?

Everything from the doors forward, fenders, hood, grille & bumper. To make it look like a Olds El Camino, I even saw a 76 a guy had put at Pontiac Grand Lemans front cap on. Doors, cowl etc are almost identical. The share the same frame etc.

If you mean that you have a complete front end, be aware that NONE of the body lines are common. The Olds fenders will not match the Chevy doors. As for motor mounts, get the same year range Olds frame and motor mounts. The A-body frames are drilled for every division's frame mounts.

I've seen this done with nearly every year A body. Most of the time you need to use the matching doors and do some sheet metal work to match everything up. Or you could do what an NTOC member did with a 70 GMC Sprint and make it into an Oldscamino. Used to be on a members site here. Might google search for it

Go to the Texas442.com website and in the left side column, there is a link to "not an elcamino" to see the 70 I told about in the above post.
