Best reproduction drum brake master for a 1969 442

Why not go to your local high-end, high quality (read skip the big box junk chains) parts house and source one there. Its still readily available.
Look at Raybestos, or Delco. Careful with the generic white boxes. That = chineasium junk so can a Delco box so ask where its country-of-origin is and run from anything offshore... this is your brakes!
Several suppliers offer this master by itself or as a kit with the booster if needed.
You can easily rebuild your OEM too. Not hard and its cheap.

Thanks for the reply
i have never had any luck with rebuilt masters
I have rebuilt masters and wheel cylinders but I would just rather have a perfect bore for the seals to seal against
Your right it’s a good idea to check out OEM first before I buy a no name brand
I do try to buy USA and CAN first but it is getting tougher to do so
Thanks

I think you will have difficulty finding brake parts, regardless of the brand on the box, that are not made in China. The master cylinder for your car, AC Delco 18M1878, is the exact same as specified for my car, a '78 Toronado. I bought one for my car about a year ago, and it said "Made in China" on the box. Every part I bought, and I bought pretty much everything for both the disk and drum brake systems, regardless of brand (Wagner, Raybestos, ACDelco, you name it) was made in China. Can't avoid it if you want to drive your car, unless you can find NOS.
