A bent inner Rim FFS !!!!
I took my car to a local tire shop to have a couple new tires installed on my front cragar rims. It appears as thou the young installer just cranked the lug nuts on way too tight with the air gun. It was fine around town until I went out onto the highway and got up to 50mph. What A shake!!!! I returned home and immediately looked at the tires, they seemed fine. I seen a lug nut damaged and washer was inset into the rim about .05 I couldn't believe it.
Now of course the shop says OH we didn't do that sir.
Do these kids not get trained properly when it comes to installing rims. From now on I will make sure I mention..... Do not over tighten my rims and please use a torque wrench.
My new rims should be here sometime this week.

Watch out for snapping lugs from being over stressed. If one goes, change them all. I had the same thing happen many years ago. Got a flat one night and could not get the lugs of the other tire was over torqued as well. Bent the tire iron and had to leave the car overnight. This was long before I subscribed to CAA. Pretty sure I couldn't bend a tire iron now..LOL
