Battery Cables- factory correct 1970
Thinking about ordering battery cables for my 70 from fusick. They don’t offer a good picture of the product. For those who have bought them, how is the quality, correctness?. Any pictures?. Any other supplier suggestion based on fist hand ownership.. Thanks

I have no doubt that Fusick sells a good cable. Only thing is you have to read carefully. For 1970 no problem getting the right one. My car is 72 and the Fusick catalogue lists them as side post. Mine is a top post. So I would have to order 71 cables. I know that 72 Cutlass models came with side and top post cables.

Picked up a positive and negative cable from americanautowire. I am very impressed, they look very well made (time will tell). The part numbers are stamped into the cable as they should be with a light amount of white paint to highlight the numbers as they should have - just like my original factory negative battery cable has. I tossed out my factory positive cable many years ago (why I don’t know) so I can’t compare the red color to the factory red cable, but from the pictures I have it appears to be correct.

1970 442 Pace Car Battery Cables
I would like to replace my cables but I'm not sure if one of the previous owners beat me to it with incorrect ones.
I have a 1970 442 Pace Car and my question is did my car originally come with top post spring type connectors?
The current cables have a nut to tighten to the post. I think that is more commonly found at the parts store but I thought I would ask first before purchasing.
Also, anybody know what brand Parts Place carries?
Thanks.

Charlie is right on with his answer, I believe parts place has the correct ones, that is where I got mine
by the way you should make sure you have the battery tube that mounts to the frame near the firewall that protects the battery. Most likley you have one but now would be the time to check. I think I have a few of those sitting around and they make repos at least for the automatics.
