Backup lens polishing advice needed
Backup lens polishing advice needed
I have a 1979 Cutlass with very milky cloudy backup lens.
I have tried Novus 1-3 polish and they are still cloudy, won't get clear.
Tried polishing the back side as well but it is fluted and harder to get to and polish out but still not much better overall.
I have used the Novus system on my '97 GMC headlights back to crystal clear.
Am I wasting my time thinking I can make clear again?
I have come across boiling them in water, using other plastic and metal polishes, toothtpaste, vinegar, olive oil, heating with MAP gas torch, Vapor polishing, etc.
Anything anyone ever tried that actually WORKED on these?
