ARG!! When will the weather change

The weather in southern Maryland is driving me nuts this year!
Saturday night - 60+ mph winds (lots of branches down, luckily no damage)
Sunday - cold and windy
Monday - afternoon rain
Tuesday - rain and snow (SNOW??)
etc...
etc...

I usually only do one car show a year (the rest are cruises) and that is the "Coming Out Car Show" (named as such because it is the 1st of the season in this area). Unlike many, I do not own a garage, so I have to rely on just a very good car cover during the warmer months, and a storage unit in the winter. This means that I have to do my car work outside.

I know that my cutlass is more a driver than a show car. But I do like to have her looking her best for the show, and this weather is denying me that chance.

Come on weather Gods!!! Just 2 good days of weather before Sunday, that's not too much to ask for is it?

We're already moving into summer temps. The official forecast for Wednesday is 97º but I suspect we will actually hit 100º. It's way too early for that.

Be thankful. In west Michigan we accumulated about 4" of snow on Saturday. By the end of Sunday it had melted, but tonight it might dip into the teens.

Had the car out for a brief ride around the neighborhood two weeks ago, now back into hibernation indefinitely! Feeling your pain!

Same here. Took the Super 88 out a few weeks ago. I thought all was well. Now the roads are all salt and the town just went by with the plows. 6 inches of new snow.

Had 2 snow storms in a row in Boston, about 7" worth.

The temperature dropped to the teens last night too....unusual in New England this time of year.

Vacationing in Mesa this week and the weather is great. Back home in Edmonton there was snow Monday but everything is melted. Temp is back to 55F (13C).
I love Phoenix but all the toys are back home and I can't play with them.

It's here in Phoenix. We must be sucking up all the heat from the rest of the country.

Whatever it is, I'll take it. Now that we're done shoveling, we're looking at over an inch of rain tomorrow in New England.....

And a cars n coffee show on Saturday morning.

Our show is scheduled for this Sunday. I've been dodging weather fronts and figuring out how much time before the next storm so that I can go outside and get work done on my Cutlass.

Now they are calling for a rain snow mix on Saturday. If we get that storm and the organizers do not postpone to next weekend, I wont be going. My girl does NOT hit the roads if there is salt out there.

I saw some geese give up and head back south this morning. Did some great doughnuts in the snow too. Yeehaw.

Chip I fell your pain over here on the eastern shore. I am trying to sell plants in this mess. I figure in 2 weeks it will go from cold and windy to hot and humid. Spring will last at most 2 days this year.

Just got word from the show planners. It's a go for Sunday. Even though...

1. rain and snow showers forecast for Saturday.
2. At the 8:30am start time on Sunday, it's supposed to be 29 degrees.
3. Looking at the long range forecast, next Sunday 68 degrees and sunny.

The bad part is that I will be at the show anyway, no matter what the weather is. My 2 son's Boy Scout troop will be working the show gates, in addition to the set up and clean up afterwards, to raise money for summer camp. So, I will be there all day. I just have not decided if my Oldsmobile will be.

Oh to be in the 90s. Currently it is snowing in Central Pa. I am signed up for for a 5K run next Saturday morning, hopefully a LOT warmer.

3 to 6 inches of snow and 21 degrees in SW Michigan this morning. I have a newly rebuilt motor I'm trying to break in for this season. I'm not sure I'm going to make it....

A 5K run??? You mean on purpose? Didn't you know that is why God created Oldsmobiles? When people ask me if I run, my response is always the same.

Well I was still driving my cars around until January, that's when the first salt hit the streets. It's payback for a mild winter, but I still think it's strange to see snow on the ground this morning.
