Will be in Duluth on vacation for a week or so(10-17 June).
Never visited before, any Olds around, junk yards or car shows?
Thanks

if your driving down 61 from t bay theres a yard in Tofte that had some older stuff in it. not shure whats going on in Duluth, canal park has a strip club (or used to). All the yards in Duluth are on top of the hill, there may be some in superior. theres an older yard in two harbours west side of town take 11 to 122. don't know of any members from that area.

I don't beleive there are any more strip clubs in Canal Park , too many families using the area. When you do get there check out the Canal Park information center, you can look and see when huge ships arrive and depart. Nothing like standing feet away from a thousand foot + ore boat moving under the high bridge. Enger Tower has awesome views. If you have time charter a fishing boat out of Superior, great way to spend a day. Pickwick Restaurant is a nice place for lunch or dinner. The William A. Irving ( out of service ore ship) tour is neat, if you have kids they will like it. If you do go on 61 be sure and take old 61, not the new hiway. Not sure when it is this year but the annual visit of Tall Ships is quite amazing. If and when you go through Grand Marais try the Angry Trout Restaurant- fresh fish right out of Lake Superior. Want more ideas? Pretty much grew up around there......

Ya I was born in Grand Marais our family has a resort in Croftvill right on lake superior called Lakeview cabins. my dad lives in 2 harbors, I grew up in Chisholm, "the range" went to DTC whitch is now Superior collage. The ship tours down on canal park are very cool, when you see the draw bridge go up get there, lots to do down there. And hopefully the limp lifter is still in sconny Don't know if you wanted to know my life story but you got it

I've only been up there a few times. Grandma grew up in Buhl. Us Steel and a Carnegie Library where the men were men and the women weren't, she would say. If you dig mines (hah) there's Iron World in Chisolm, the Sudan mine up by Lake Vermillion, and a big pit mine near Mount Iron or some such place. Go walleye fishing.

Sven & Ole's Grand Marais MN

You must stop for Pizza & Beer @ Sven & Ole's in Gran Marais MN on your way. Best pizza in the area & if you like craft beer their selection is outstanding. When I went to University in Thunder Bay we were frequent visitors to Sven & Ole's.

And you can't go to MN & NOT go to Brainerd International Raceway.

And the St Cloud MN area is outstanding

We will be riding the MS 150 this weekend from Duluth to St. Paul. I'm afraid Saratoga is still there if you are really looking for a strip club. I will be with mixed company so you probably won't see me there. If you are looking for some great dining it is in Canal Park. If you like Italian I would recommend Bellisio's.

Cheers, Mike
