Anyone in the Volo, IL Area?
Same question ..
Brad , are you looking at the Blue / White 71 Convert .. ?
I have a friend from Phoenix looking at that same car , and I just seem to have
some unsettling questions .. No high resoultion , or underside pictures ? No specific information on who did what portion of restore ?
Real nice looking car though ..
My friend may be flying up to Chicago to take a look . We must have some Chicago friends that know Volo's reputation and perhaps this car if it is one in the same .. JT

I bought my car from Volo (71 442). They are pricey, but as far as my experience, completely honest. I checked out a few cars when I was up there and they all looked clean. As I recall, it was a few years ago, but most of the cars are condition 3 to 2ish with a few condition 1.
Also I remember asking them for photos of the underside and door jams. They sent me photos the next day.

Visual from web site .
My friend that was considering a car @ Volo passed on it .
The 62 , Olds 98 that you are looking at ... Just from the images , really looks like an honest car . It is a completely stock 53 year old car . From the patina on lower rear rockers , to paint under hood , to interior ( It is EXTREMELY tough to evaluate the door panel fabric ) it seems to reflect a 29,000 mile car . It looks like they opened both front and rear doors to display no sag in the hinge area .
The need for having yourself OR a professional appraiser look at the car is really where the deciding factor . You car have them put it up on their lift : Fully check for rust or any body repairs . Exhaust , brakes , and any leaks . Get your hands on the suspension pieces , and see if any parts have already been replaced . AS Volo is CLAIMING it to be a 1 owner car , ask for the stack of original buying and maintenance receipts .
Good fortune on whatever you decide , and if you are looking for a recommendation on an Illinois appraiser , consider " Stefano " from this site .
Extremely knowledgeable from my dealings .. JT
