What is the difference between Joe Mondello's Oldsmobile V8 Engine Technical Reference Manual Vol 1 and Vol 2?
Is it the same or something was added more info in Vol 2?

 

The information is very similar. The font was changed slightly and illustrations were rearranged. Vol.2 may be a bit easier to read. Vol.1 has 80 pages not counting the inside covers; Vol.2 has 76. If you buy one, you can save the money by not buying the other. Either one has much information for the Oldsmobile enthusiast. Vol. 1 was copyright 1996; Vol.2 was copyright 1999; second edition April 2004 (there may be some small revisions). Both cover all V-8 Oldsmobile engines 1964-1990, except the 394. Cover prices: Vol.1, $24 (USD); Vol.2, $26 (USD).

 

Vol 2 is "new and improved", so you get to pay twice for the same info...
