Anyone actually own an Oldsmobile Limousine?

I didn't even know these existed. I was doing a little browsing and came across them.

That's an airport limousine, built by Armbruster on Toronado chassis. They liked them because they could extend the back infinitely.

True sedan-based limos were built by Cotner Bevington from 1962 to I think 1970. Surprsingly most were built on 88 chassis instead of Ninety Eight as the ambulances and hearses were. They never really sold all that well but are an interesting aspect of Oldsmobile history.

Thre was one for sale here recently, they turn up peroidically on Craigslist and evilbay and they sell for practically nothing.
They were built by American Quality Coach/AQC, not Armbruster.
There's a link in the for sale ad with the history.

Vista, you're right. I knew they were AQC . Don't know why I was thinking Armbruster this time.

I remember seeing some limos in the Dallas area built on 77-78 Delta 88's. They were probably funeral home limos.

A friend of mine in Long Island has a '66 98 Limo the started as a funeral car in the Philadelphia area. He takes it to the nearby shows and to the Englishtown flea markets in the spring and fall. It is now Target Red which was obviously not the original color.
