This is 1965, not 2016. Air-conditioning was much more of a luxury in cars in those days, even on high-end models.

It's a beautiful car.

Looks great, would like to see better picts of the potmetal trim as that stuff pits quick and impossible to find in good condition. Engine paint too red and trunk mat and spare tire cover not stock.

Last time I saw the car the pot metal trim was amazing, the car up to that time had obviously been in dry storage for most of it's life..

I am pretty sure that was owned at one time by Chris Dreiling of NTOC. Very few full size Oldsmobiles, Buicks and Pontiacs that were sold in the mid 60's in the south were sold without air conditioning. I worked for a Buick dealer in Louisiana from 1964 to 1966 and I never saw one sold without air. People that could afford these cars were not going to ride in the heat and humidity.

There was one identical to this a couple of months of go on ebay for 12k, it quickly disappeared, this one popped up a couple of weeks later, in a new location and higher price tag. It was a very nice car, methinks a flipper.

I believe that it was Chris's car. If it had A/C I would be making an offer. ( I don't want an aftermarket system in that particular car). I remember seeing it in some of the Dallas Olds Zone meetings.

Very nice car, sold on eBay for 10.5K earlier this year. It is a stunning car, first saw at Olds Nationals in Des Moines...rekindled my love of this year, make and model, motivated my interest to purchase my current 65 a year later. A lot of car for the money, exceedingly clean and straight, bright work is stunning, laser straight panels. Only down side is lack of options...no A/C, no tilt, lack of power accessories.

That was Chris' car a few months ago because he mentioned it at one of the NTOC meetings. If it had air I imagine Chris would still own it.

I owned this car from 2003 til 2013 purchased it out of California for $9500 and drove it back, rebuilt the front end & detailed engine compartment in early 2006 Motor & trans are original and have never been rebuilt. Drove (not trailered) to OCA nats in 2006, 2007, 2008, & 2012 Raced at the 2007 & 2008 events. 1966 2 bar spinner hubcaps were on there when purchased. Lots of documentation sold new in CA. I sold in 2013 for $12,500 (went to the Chicago area), Sold on Ebay in march or april 2016 for $10,500 three weeks later it showed up for $24,500. I sold it because of no factory A/C too damn hot here in Texas to be without it or I'm getting to old. I did not want to cut up a well documented car to add vintage air. I think the current seller thought he was going to make a fast buck but didn't realize there is a limited audience for these cars.
