I picked up another Jetfire and of all things..... It was in a barn, lol. From what I understand, it was parked in 1966 with 59,000 miles. It was a 4 speed car but much of the 4 speed stuff is missing. The car is rusted out and not savable but still has some really good stuff left. Even has the Jetfire block and turbo heads.

That's crazy that the windshield blew out, with all the other windows intact. I guess it took all the trim with it ?
We hit a REALLY rough on ramp at one point. I am wondering if that is where it come out. I was looking at the car on the trailer in the mirror when we hit that rough area and did not see or hear anything but the car was on the trailer backwards so the windshield was on the other side. The trim is gone also sadly.
I have lots of crazy rare Jetfire stuff but the problem with this stuff is that the cars are so rare that not many people need the parts. I fear that I am going to make people upset in the long run because I collect these parts from all over the country, Including Hawaii, and then have to sit on them. When these parts come up for sale, if nobody needs the parts then the seller thinks the parts are worthless and tosses them out sometimes. There is not a one stop shop for Jetfire parts and if you need something you can never find it. What I have been doing is buying the parts and parts cars when they come up because most of the time nobody is needing or looking for those parts at the time they are available. I will likely have to sit on most of this stuff for years. The problem comes when someone does need the parts. I have to justify my time and investment and can't give the stuff away. I feel bad for some of the prices I sometimes have to charge but it just works out that way. It is either that or some sellers are going to toss these rare parts in the trash.
This car I just got, if it was not sold in the next couple weeks he was going to have to scrap it because he sold the land the barns were on. I just can't let this stuff go to scrap and hope future buyers understand that.
Hello there,
. With all the parts you have on hand, is there a possibility you have a automatic floor shifter?
Thanks,
Joe
I am out of them at this time. I had 4 of them early last year and thought it would be hard to sell them but they sold really fast. I will keep you in mind if I come up with another one.
I blew the rear glass out of a 65 442 below Nashville on I-65 years ago. I was meeting the new owner in Clarksville,TN and when I pulled up,he asked where the rear glass was. I told him I didn't have a clue. It blew the glass and moldings all @ one time.
I had a friend pull me 15 miles once with a chain. The car was a 65 Satellite that had sat in a field for years. No engine or windshield but it still had brakes so we towed it home with me "driving" wearing goggles and a dust mask so I didn't breathe in the leaves or raccoon turds.
