Annual Car Show
Went to the annual R&S Speed Shop car show today. 4.5 acres of hot and loud beautiful cars. 274 showed up this year. Several Oldsmobiles were there, all 70-72 and a 56. I tend to gravitate to multiple carbs so enjoy. Also the early sixties Ford was a 12.08 beast at Ponoma back in the day. That's fast for that land yacht. The Henry J was unique using a mailbox for a scoop. The straight six with the two carbs had a Fenton exhaust header on it that looked aluminum. Never seen anything like it. Not a real big fan of turbos or blowers but the Chevelle had a very nice looking turbo set up on it. The last pic of the 70 Road Runner caught my eye because when I was in 7th grade a secretary who worked with my father bought the last one on the lot and she was an older woman that just didn't seem to fit with a new muscle car but there it was. This car looked exactly like hers.

Looks like it was a nice turnout... 1964 Ford was one of my first vehicles back in the day... I had one of three 64 Ford convertibles in the high school parking lot in my junior year... Those were the days...

Portsmouth, Rhode Island
R&S Speed Shop
In the last pic the owner is talking to people as they leave. I used to work for him in the 70's and his passion for old cars is abundant.

Looks like it would have been a great show, very cool stuff in the pics.
I always have liked multiple carbs but always considered that type of stuff out of reach for me. Now that I have a set up,I am really drawn to them, been doing a lot of research.
That 6 cyl with the Fenton header is nice, even has an old glass fuel bowl.
Thanks for sharing!
