Back in the day...an FM converter could be added and hung under the dash. They weren't very impressive. They're probably not available new any longer.

Yep, I'll bet you can find one on Ebay or a swap meet.

There are many specialized outfits that can add FM, Bluetooth, or Aux-In without changing the face of the radio.

I put this thread together a few years ago. Play anything you want through your phone or MP3 player. The 1/8" audio jack can be replaced directly with a bluetooth receiver from amazon if you wish.

Does the 8 track player work? You could get an adapter. I found this site with a quick Google search.

x2 on the FM converter, I had one in our 69 Camaro and it worked well, it was similar to the Audiovox one pictured above. I think you need to tune the AM radio to 1410 or something like that to get the converter to work. It would also be (close to) period correct, just like your aftermarket 8 track player.

Here you go. Has a leatherette case with holes in the side so you can listen right through the case. Stick it to your dash with some double-sided tape and you're good to go. It's even period-correct!

A different route, I bring a small Bluetooth speaker and paired to my cell phone, easy access to XM, Spotify, or any saved audio.

I'm putting a gauge pod in my car and have to move the aftermarket radio the PO installed under the dash and have been struggling where to put it. Now I know.
On Marketplace.
