aluminum heads for my 67 330 engine?

Was thinking of replacing heads with a lighter option....have the 330 high compression. Have a valve going bad and may pull the heads....Your opinion please..Would these provide as much performance or better? Than my 330 heads?......Thanks....http://www.ebay.com/itm/Oldsmobile-A...1ZVtoe&vxp=mtr

The stock heads you have are very good heads just have them rebuilt.

Those are BBO heads. To use them on an SBO like your 330, you need to mill them quite a bit to reduce the size of the chambers. You need to replace your mechanical fuel pump with an electric one because they won't clear the pump. You need to use a Performer RPM and have it port matched to the larger BBO ports. There is a LOT of "collateral damage". As noted, have your original heads redone.

Am I falling into the Aluminum head hype? Or are they ( Aluminum heads ) an advantage ( besides the weight ) I hear that they take longer to warm up in the winter ( almost here ) But do they produce anymore horsepower for the the swap?......Weight loss vs hp performance?

You need a pair with the 64cc chamber like above. Avoid Mondello Performance, if at all possible.

Nearly every vehicle on the road today has aluminum heads, so whoever told you this is full of it.

I think I'm going to take your advice on this one and have them redone.
Quite frequently now when i start the car ( after a little cruise ) I get a backfire and black smoke puffs out of one exhaust.....Valve spring job? vs heads redone?

You want new 2"/1.625" valves with the bowls opened with a cutter, milled for straightness, multi angle valve job, new springs, guides and seals. You can upgrade to positive seals at this time. That is what you want done.

Get stainless valves if you are worried about valve recession. or just add 4oz.of Marvel Mystery Oil to every tank of gas.
