8.875 12 bolt ring pinion
8.875 Pontiac ring and pinion b bodies 1965-70 have a 10 bolt rear cover but a 12 bolt ring and pinion. Are these interchangeable with the
B Body Oldsmobiles of 1965 through 1970?

The Olds B/C-body cars used the Type P axle from 1965-1968. The internals are the same as those in Pontiac full size cars from that vintage. The 9.3" Type O came out in May 1966 and was initially used in the Ninety Eights and BBO Deltas, but eventually Olds dropped the Type P completely. Be sure you know the Olds is a Type P and not a Type O (which is easy to tell from the back cover).
