74 delta Royale cowl tag

I've deciphered everything except the fourth line " sco 94602" . A 75 body manual says it's the "schedule and item #" but then again, the car's a 74 not a 75....anyone decode ?

In Buick-speak, that's a special-order code. I'd be willing to bet there's something about your car that's not regular production.

Is it a convertible? If so, possibly an Indy 500 festival car. 05B date code can help corroborate that.

Surely you know the Indy 500, right?

The Hurst/Olds paced the race, and there were a number of festival cars for other associates of the track.

Yeah, just Googled it and reading it now. There were 42 Delta 88's used at the event....I'll keep reading and post if facts warrant it. Thanks !

Nope, not so lucky. Cars all appear to be white with special striping and lettering. This car was ordered special with " Omega Lime" paint....alot more in-your-face than white.

The special order paint may be what the code is for, though it was usually indicated as -- or XX on the plate.
