72 Sport Mirror

72 Sport Mirror

The part that connect to the door bezel will not lock in place. Do I have the correct one. I know the bezel is correct.

It doesn't lock into place there is a u shaped wire clip that goes through the holes on the backside of the bezel and locks it into the ****. I don't see that clip in your pictures. 70-82 camaro firebird used the same mirrors as the 71-72 cutlass 442 so you could probably find that clip at a local yard.

That's the one. Note that the **** has to be installed at a specific orientation for the clip to lock into it.
