72-73 Rims

Are the rims on the 72 & 73 Cutlass the same? I have a line on a 73 Cutlass parts car that might have some Olds rally rims on it that I would like to put on my 72.

The SS 111 rim from 1973 is identicle to the rim from 1972.

If you just want rims I have 5 SS 111 rims with center caps & trim rings that I took off my 72 W-30 last spring. They will need to be sprayed argent silver or viking blue to go on your car (rims are currently Radiant Green). Just rims as I sold off the 20 year old tires to someone to use for storage tires on their rims.

I am in Cochrane. PM me if interested.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think '73 would have had 15" wheels.

Dave,
I think you're right, the '73 & maybe '74? had the 15" bolt on center cap SS II's. Those are highly sought after wheels.

I think your question is more relative to the mounting bolt pattern? If it is, yes that's a direct swap. Chances are good you can get all the wheels fairly cheap if it's a parts car. I would only pay around 15-20 each for them at pick and pull. You were a mechanic so you know how to test for true. I think they would really dress up that sedan! Oh, if they each have the 5 trim bezels, that's even better. You can get aftermarket trim rings for them.

14" rims with bolt on caps 1970-1973
15" rims with bolt on caps 1974
15" rims with snap on caps 1975-1977

consider yourself corrected...
