71 delta 88 cruse control

When I bought the car the previous owner told me that the cruise control diddle work!!!

So I decided to check the wiring today and it's all intact and has power to it.....I also took a look at the speedostat and it seems ok......there are two cables going to the speedosstat...one to the transmission and the other goes through the fire wall up inside the dash .....I assume to the speedo....

Any guesses on what's on the go with this....

Yup, you also need to check the vacuum line to the servo (that's the thing I told you about where your throttle cable comes over top of). If it's not pulling and holding vacuum, the cruise won't engage or work.

Keep in mind that the unit on your car is not OEM, it's an aftermarket one. Find the manufacturer name on it and search the web for their instructions or trouble shooting.

By the way, Rog. WTH is 'diddle' work?
