I'm looking for the measurement between the backup light lense to the guard. I have one bumper measuring 2 1/2 inches and another approximately 3 inches. Looking for a consensus before I drill in a new bumper.

Cutlass, 442. First year for guards.

 

Ok. My H/O has them, I think that's the same bumper, if you want a center to center or such.

 

My 72 has 3.25" on driver's side and 2.5" on passsenger side. So much for tight tolerances Take your pick. These dimensions are the shortest distance from the guard to the edge of the backup light lens.

I think I'll go with 3 inches and try to be consistent on both. 😁
