Look what I came across while responding to '68 455 engine that was 4-sale on a local swap shop radio show!
This car originally sold for $2800 dollars in 1984. I drove it several times before and after its restoration, but lost tracK of it @ 10 years ago. Of course w-30, 4-speed, 3:60 gears, manual steering & brakes, 8-track.
Yes its for sale and I would like to purchase it but I would find it difficult to actually be the caretaker of such a awesome museum piece.
So far I think I'm the only one who knows of this car.

Sam has a collection? I haven't spent much time on CO lately, I need to catch up.
Just waiting right now (which I probably shouldn't do) and consulting knowledgeable resources regarding this venture. I probably should have just kept my mouth shut, but I was real excited and thought you all should see it. It would be tough to watch it lay around so much- especially at that price. I'm not collector material and I already have a butt load of car show trophies as well as project cars in the shop.
I drive the crap out of my Cutlass 'S' and that's what I enjoy the most. For instance I had a brief encounter with a '71 Chevelle today and demonstrated to his passenger how feeble his attempt was. Seriously visceral! I would be chastised doing that in a mint w30! But that's how I am.
My sons not much different. His is a Pro Street '71 w30 clone. He would want to backhalf it.

I will try to purchase it myself. I got the go ahead from my financial department (wife) after she saw it. Were not quite set on a price yet but were working on it. ..and Steven, your right. Drive IT!
If anything changes I'll let you all know and I hope that any of you who were interested, especially Sam, don't feel too strung along over this.
