70 Sport Mirror Install -

I have a set of factory 70 Sport mirrors. I am still not sure I will install them, as I like the chrome mirror on the driver’s side, and it will not be original (but yes never liked the pass side w/o a mirror). If I put them on, are there any tips , things to look out for. I will need to drill the pass side door, so I am planning to drill the holes for the studs only w/o the slots like the driver’s side.., using the CL whole locations on the driver’s side. thanks

I drilled the passenger door with same dimensions as drivers but in reverse. To prevent passenger door from flexing from the mirror, you can buy a support bracket like the factory used. Inline tube or others sell it. I Tack welded mine on the inside of door but it was before the paint shop. if your car is already painted you can maybe pop rivet this bracket.
