70 OW transmission missing it's original car, Check your VIN

I have an OW transmission with 30M283285 VIN stamp. Please check your W-30 registeries and your cars missing the original transmission. I don't want to sell it or use it till I give people the chance to find there original OW trans. This transmission has been located in the IL-IN area unused for the past 20+ years.

+1.

I don't own one of those highfalutin' dubulyah' cars, but you're doing the right thing.

'Course, the reason you've got the trans is probably 'cause the rest of the car was scraped off a tree with a jackhammer, and the trans was all that survived, but, still, it's a good and proper effort.

Thanks guys, I may have a complete W-30 engine missing it's original car soon. (not the same VIN as this trans) If I get the engine I am thinking of putting it and this transmission in my other non original W-30. That is if the original cars don't claim them.

Thanks Eric for doing this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, boy that is really close to my VIN, though I have the original trans in my car so it isn't mine but still a great thing to offer.

I think someone should make a W car original parts registry. Anyone that knows there block or transmission came from a W car could post its VIN. Does anyone know of a registry for the 70 W-30 to compare this number to?
