Wow, that’s a lot of W30s in one location…lol
and 2 69 HOs that apparently someone found paperwork from Oldsmobile that officially said 173 cars came with air…..
news to me but I sold my 1 of 173 car a couple years ago…before this discovery…lol
Damn, W30’s abound..if your looking for one, plenty of selection on color and interior..bring a full checkbook. Gorgeous collection.
Mine will never be as nice these cars..I am good with that as for me its all about the drive..drive your car..everytime I drive it I run it thru the gears just for ***** and grins. Working on them, learning about them, having the sense of accomplishment from all that is what makes me happy.. been a car freak since I was a very young boy..
There are some really nice cars here, and there are quite a few that are "No Reserve," including 4 of the 7 1970 442 W-30s, a 69 W-30 and a 71 W-30. They will all certainly sell for a lot of money, but it will be interesting to see if all the W-30 buyers swarm to these and ignore the others or if someone makes off with a great deal on one of these.

Definitely be interesting to see if these cars have peaked in value..

That, too. I just wonder how many serious W-30 buyers are there at any given time. It seems like with these auctions there is usually about two or three serious buyers for most cars. When it comes to these specific W-30s, a couple of them really stand out, but the others are still great. Should be interesting.

I’m predicting prices on the 69-72 models in this auction will be higher..
Look again. Clones abound. The rare car is one that HASN'T been turned into a W-clone.
Joe are you saying these W cars are clones? I know some of Spagnoli cars are the real deal, cannot speak for all of them. However nothing stated about documentation on any of them.

The ones that say "W30 equipment added". The ones that say "442 with W25". Etc, etc. Obviously a few are legit, but there isn't one 70-72 there that doesn't have a hood and stripes, at a minimum.

I missed that w30 equipment added phrase..lol.. all the cars with oai and stripes added sure make the originals look somewhat everyday now.
The lack of respect to what Oldsmobile has always been burns my ... I absolutely hate the fools jumping the Olds bandwagon. Look at the killer Buick that you get half off. Seriously Half the price. So many clueless fools buying and selling Oldsmobiles these days. Step up. Pay your stupid money. You will Never get it back.
These have to be amongst the All-time worst stripes ever...
No offense to the seller but I wouldn't give you ten grand. Bad body work is a million times worse than no body work. Has to be one of the worst stripes ever.

Well, at least the stripes distract your eyes from the hood and grill alignment.
Geeez I am going to be very scared to post any pics of my resto once done.
I have been training at the Stevie wonder body school for the last year or so.

No one is critiquing your own work. The issue is the stupid-money asking prices and misleading descriptions of these auction fright pigs.
Quit hating on wings y'all. For those of us who have factory wings, it ain't fair
I have nothing but love be for a factory wing. Zero knock on a car that came with it.
I am so sick of seeing wings added to damn near every "restored" car. It has been said here before. If you didn't grow up back in the day you would think every 442 came with a W-25 hood and a wing. I was born in the sixties. Was around so so many cars being the last of seven and constantly at the dragstrips. Do you want to guess how many factory winged cars that I saw? One. One. It was a dark blue 70 442 with a steel hood. Not hating on your car at all. Just sick of seeing them over and over and over. Especially on a ragtop or a Supreme where they were never even offered.
The only car I was interested in was the 1995 Cutlass Supreme in the rare burnt orange-like red with 38,xxx miles on it and the dang thing got pulled., They must have sold it and/or it got yanked off the auction for some reason. Some dealer out west had it a few months ago and sold it for $3000 which was an absolute steal for a low mileage car like this.
Some results are in. Prices can be all over the board. I really don't see how a 72 Cutlass 442 CLONE 350 car pulls that kind of money and 70 pace car gets Half of the price. Highest price I remember seeing for an 87.
