I was at Fusicks on saturday. They have a 70 442 conv. in their showroom for your viewing pleasure. I noticed the bumpers on the hood extension. Can anyone confirm this is the way its supposed to be?

 

FWIW If I remember correctly checking the VIN I found that was a Faux Faux 2

 

Seems as I remember a discussion from many years ago about those bumpers. From what I recall, the holes were open from the factory but it's been quite a few years since that discussion and I may be remembering incorrectly. What would they bump against?.

 

I seem to recall seeing some pointy nibs in one, but, like Kenneth says, discontinued quickly.

 

Your probably right Tim, I didn't even look at the VIN. Its a 4 speed has E heads, aluminum intake and W30 paint and emblems.

 

Nope. Nothing goes in those holes on the "tooth".
