70 cutlass headrest
#2
I have been looking for Pearl headrests for years. I have finally purchased a pair of white ones. I left them white, from a distance they look fine. Many folks sell the "Pearl" dye for our cars but it is translucent so the white still looks white - just shinier. In the past I took a pair of mint brown headrests, painted them white and then pearl over it - it was still too white. I then painted it an off-white (more of a light beige) then sprayed Pearl over that - it was a perfect match. Issue I had is my kids getting in and out of the back seat would grab the head rest and eventually the dye wore off I you could see brown through it.

Legendary & TMI both sell really nice headrest covers.
Much nicer than the old style PUI ones with the ugly welting bead seam around the face- these have flush french stitched seams on each end.
They may not be "original" (since the headrests were molded ABS, not soft vinyl) but they look 100% better and will match your vinyl properly.
Just my $.02
