I'd like to refinish the ash tray I have for my '70, which is shiny metal, not painted black like the '71-2 models. On the bottom it has a pretty bright shine to it, but the top is rusty. I'm thinking the brightness of the original finish I can see would make it zinc, not nickel. Is that how these parts were finished originally?
