I have a 70 442 with a column shift auto and bench seat. I located and installed a front seat from a 4 door cutlass supreme with the fold down arm rest. I had it upholstered to match and modified to fold forward for back seat access and looks great. But it seams to sit higher and farther forward than the original. Do I need to install the original brackets from the standard bench seat or are they the same?

 

Pretty sure they would be the same. I have some of each & might be able to compare today or tomorrow.
