Hurst used to sell a low-rent line of shifters under the Indy name. The Indy-matic was a decidedly NON-dual gate shifter that looked exactly like this one. I had one in a 1971 Cutlass years ago. I find it difficult to imagine that Hurst would install this shifter in a real 1969 H/O, given that the dual gate and mini-console had already been developed for the 1986 models.

I think you were trying to type 1968 models
well....
although you would think it was a bogus car it seems from the threads posted above it may be the real deal. as it seems the trunk lid was drilled for the platform, maybe they put the BIG shifter in this particular car to show off hurst shifters in general, not the his/hers? I dunno, I remember those shifters, they would work with bench seats too, when you converted from the column shifter (w/ Hacksaw LOL J/K) but the gold doesn't seem like the right gold when compared to the ones i have looked at here and elsewhere, funny even the hurst olds decal on the glovebox looks wrong? like a cheap copy? but a cool car none the less
