69 or 70 hood

Can anyone tell me what year this hood is?
I bought it back in 89 to use on my 70 Cutlass, but instead, went with an O.A.I. Now, in doing research in order to sell it, I have stumbled across some conflicting information that it might be a '69.

Any ideas?????? Is there a difference between a 69 and 70? I have the nose piece, but no pics of that.

Doing a little more looking, it seems as tho' it might be a '69, since it has the shorter of the two extensions/tongues.
Can this hood be used on a 70 with the longer extension?

I would say 69 just because of the piercing on the right side. The 69 had Oldsmobile in script letters there. 70 did not.

tru-blue. You prolly could use this hood. The tongue bolts onto the hood so I don't see why not. Maybe 'had a few c.s could post a shot of the bolt pattern on the bottom of the hood to see if it lines up with a 70 tongue extension.

Here are a couple of pics of the bolt pattern on the hood and tongue.

I knew that as well, but the center piece that holds the latch
was fubar, so i replaced it with on from a 72? I don't know.
But it has the holes for either side striker. So I am wondering
if this old 69 442 hood I have might fit. The Cutlass I am working
on is a 70. Hmmmm....

Probably. Try a dry fit and see how it lines up. Bet it works
