67 W30 horn quiz
67 W30 horn quiz
My fully documented original sheet metal 67 W30 has no holes in the fenders to mount the horns. I removed the horns in '79 the first time I had the car stripped and painted. I never reinstalled them and don't remember where they were mounted. I've lost them somewhere over the years. My car has a 3/15/67 dealer delivery date. Is it possibly an early car and they changed horn location after? Has anyone seen another example like mine?
What is the build date as noted on the body tag? My W30 is an early build, 01C (3rd week of January), and has the horn relocation as noted in the PIM. Do you have a complete copy of the PIM? If not, you should contact Hairy Olds on this site. You shall also need the template which Hairy may also have or he may be able to direct you to someone who does. Attached is a copy of the page from the PIM which shows where the horns get relocated. Good luck!

66-3X2 442, 3.55 gear originally, 4.66 currently. PM sent.
I'm not the first owner. I personally know the dealer who ordered it, who gave me the dealer invoice slip. I know the first owner and the second owner, met the third owner. My brother bought the car in '73 and I've owned it since '77. I had the car stripped and repainted in '79 because the original paint was flaking, a common GM problem with light metallic paint during this time period. My car has all original sheet metal. It has never been wrecked.
